Production and Electrical Technician

You will be responsible for:

  • Effectively coordinating and managing the production and warehouse departments by monitoring day to day activities, tracking inventory/resources, and optimizing the efficiency of operations.
  • Following up lighting/electrical standards.
  • Working with ETL. Inspectors. Technical after sale support & solve installation issues onsite.
  • Handling technical service support to customers
  • Managing the Production Schedule and collaborate with Operation Manager
  • Consistently providing value to customers by ensuring the product is delivered on time and in conformance with our quality standards
  • Ensuring staff is supported and trained to meet the current and future needs of the departments, as well as assisting with the recruitment of new team members as the growth of the brand requires
  • Maintaining relations between other departments and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with and making recommendations to the General Manager, on site operations through assessment of the Production Schedule, monitoring of staffing
  • Generating weekly and monthly production reports for Production meetings
  • Proactively addressing employee performance concerns. Provide development ideas and establish expectations to hold team members accountable to displaying improvement
  • Maintaining existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or adjust plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the safety requirements and quality control practices of the workplace and verify protocols are properly follow WSIB guidelines.
  • Providing leadership, and consistently set a strong example for team members.
  • Ensuringr the health and safety of all team members and individuals on site.

Profile

  • Ideally, you bring 3+ years of experience in a similar supervisory role in the lighting industry
  • Third year Licenced Electrician preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.
  • Proven people management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Have a valid G drivers’ licence
  • Microsoft Office, ERP and/or advanced Excel skills is required. (QuickBooks, SAP)
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate team members
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Strong time management skills to work in a face-paced, multi-project environment
  • Ability to delegate tasks in an effective and timely manner
  • Demonstrated accountability and dependability.
