On the 5th of June, Deltalight hosted the first edition of Architectural Studio Talks (AST) at NIO House Amsterdam, providing a platform to share expertise, inspire each other, and explore the vision of specialists in various fields of architecture.

The first edition, "Designing Spaces, Shaping Life," delved into how architecture subtly yet significantly influences our daily lives. Esteemed speakers from MVRDV and SAOTA led insightful discussions on how architectural design impacts mood, productivity, and well-being.

MVRDV's session, led by Elien Deceuninck, Associate and Interior Designer, and Maria Lopez Calleja, Senior Associate and Architect COACV, explored the profound impact of interior design on both personal and professional environments. Their insights highlighted how thoughtful interior design can significantly impact the way spaces are experienced and used, emphasising the transformative power of well-designed interiors.

In the SAOTA session, Danielle Reimers, a Principal Professional Architect, and Pierre Du Plessis, an Associate Professional Architect, discussed the integration of architectural elements that enhance overall wellbeing. They explored how architecture can go beyond aesthetics to create environments that promote health and happiness, highlighting the importance of considering well-being in architectural design.

We thank all the speakers and attendees for making this edition of AST a success. Stay tuned for our next event as we continue to explore groundbreaking ideas in architecture.
