Certification Engineer

At Deltalight, a global pioneer in architectural lighting, we strive for excellence in design, technology, and performance. To maintain our high-quality standards, we are looking for a Certification Engineer who will ensure that our products comply with all relevant regulations and certifications.

Your Role

As a Certification Engineer, you will be the key figure in the certification process of our lighting solutions. You will work in our ISO 17025-accredited testing laboratory, where you manage testing activities, create and review test reports, and liaise with internal departments and external certification bodies.

• Manage certification projects from A to Z in compliance with international safety and performance standards.
• Conduct electrical, thermal, and mechanical laboratory tests and report the results.
• Advise R&D on the implementation of standards and regulations in the product development process.
• Stay up to date with changes in international standards and legislation, ensuring compliance.
• Build and maintain relationships with international certification bodies.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving our ISO 17025 laboratory management system.

Profile

• A degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or electromechanics (master’s level or equivalent through experience or motivation).
• A multidisciplinary mindset and eagerness to learn new technical aspects.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory testing and the introduction of new test methods.
• A methodical and structured approach to managing certification documentation and test reports.
• Expertise in technical standards and certification or a willingness to become a specialist in this field.
• A team player within the Quality Department, yet capable of managing projects independently.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Dutch or other languages is a plus.
