On the 6th of May we hosted a nature inspired edition of Architectural Studio Talks (AST) in Milan.

This edition focused on biophilic design, exploring how integrating nature into architecture can transform our living and working environments. Speakers from SAOTA, Park Associati and SKIRA shared their unique perspectives on this topic.

SAOTA's 'Light Space Life' session was led by Danielle Reimers, Principal Professional Architect, and Pierre Du Plessis, Associate Professional Architect. They emphasised the importance of incorporating natural elements into the built environment. Their discussion highlighted how natural light and spatial design can significantly enhance the overall experience and quality of architectural spaces.

Park Associati's presentation, 'The Journey to ... Nebbia', featured founding partner Marco Sorrentino. He demonstrated how biophilic principles can create harmonious and sustainable spaces. The insights underscored the importance of integrating nature-inspired elements into architectural design to promote a sense of well-being and environmental responsibility.

In SKIRA's session 'Beyond Utility: Integrating Light and Landscape," Founder and Chief Visionary Officer Dean Skira demonstrated the impact of thoughtful lighting design on natural beauty and functionality. He illustrated how strategic lighting choices can enhance both the aesthetic appeal and practical use of landscapes, highlighting the synergy between light and the environment.

We thank all the speakers and attendees for making this edition of AST a success. Stay tuned for our next event as we continue to explore groundbreaking ideas in architecture.
