Add sensors and design a Smart office environment. This way, you can create an environment that reacts, learns and adapts to the habits of the people in it. Lights will automatically switch off or on simply by detecting the presence or absence of people in the room. Adjust the brightness of a room based on how much natural light it gets.
The smart office
Office buildings have gone through many transformations. From large private offices and segregated work spaces to a more spacious and flexible open office configuration that encourages cooperation and interaction. The office is now ubiquitous: it can be at home, on a train, in a café or at a beachside resort.
This flexibility is reflected in the new possibilities of 'Smart offices', where everything is connected. Thanks to sensors, users can intuitively control and personalise their workspace.
Sensor to control light
A DALI sensor in one of our systems provides light control based on motion detection and light levels. For example, you can decide how much light you want to have above a table. The DALI sensor will then automatically adjust the light intensity of the lighting modules over the course of the day without you having to do anything beyond the initial setup
Sensor for light, temperature, humidity and air quality
Thanks to a wireless sensor combined with our Smart 48 system, you can control the lighting modules using the Casambi app CTRL DELTA. The system provides light control and motion detection functionality. In addition, it records and reports data on the temperature, humidity and air quality in the room.
Sensors and IoT
Q Dim has the most flexible arrangement when it comes to connectivity. The 'Q sensor' can detect and control motion, light intensity, humidity, temperature and air quality. Depending on what you need, there are different ways to react to and control these environmental factors. To top it off, by adding voice recognition you can connect to the building management system.
‘Hey, Google’ voice recognition
Add voice recognition to your lighting system by connecting the voice module and a Nest Mini smart speaker from Google. This allows you to give voice commands to Google. Just start with: 'Hey, Google' and then ask your question or give your command.
The system can perform a wide range of actions based on predefined voice commands. Depending on the settings of your building management system, you can, for example, also control the blinds, heating, ventilation and air conditioning in the room.
Integration with your building management system
Does your building have a building management system? If so, you can connect your lighting system and its various modules to it. This opens up a whole range of possibilities. The sensors, luminaires and voice recognition modules then become an integral part of the building management system.
Here are just some of the things you can do: control all the lighting, heating, humidity and air conditioning settings in the room via voice recognition; create a series of light atmospheres for the room, from bright to intimate, by controlling both the lighting and the blinds.
Automated settings are also an option. When the CO2 level surpasses a certain level, the ventilation system could be automatically activated.Lower the blinds and increase the artificial light intensity if the natural light exceeds a certain level of brightness. This is because you have programmed a minimum lumen value for the office zone.
