Each setting needs to be illuminated in a specific way so that when the parts come together to form a whole, people have the feeling of walking onto the set of a play that reveals itself in different scenes. In short, there’s no such thing as perfection, only perfect lighting: the right lighting fixtures for the right effect for the right application. Throughout this process, luminaires are a designer’s tools, applied to fit into their intended environment, to enhance it, and to stand the test of time. To achieve this, a project approach is divided in three main acts, each divided but strongly connected with each other: illuminating spaces, illuminating nature and illuminating architecture
Illuminating spaces
We understand that the power of lighting extends beyond aesthetics—it serves a vital functional role too. In spaces such as parking lots, walkways, driveways, and squares, we meticulously design illumination to enhance visibility and safety, marrying practicality with style. This approach was exhibited in the Villa P project. Here, the functional lighting design was not merely an afterthought but an inspiration. The pathway lights created a visual rhythm, offering a captivating, yet practical lighting solution. These intentional choices minimized light pollution while providing a safe, efficient, and immersive environment, demonstrating that functionality and beauty can coexist.
Illuminating architecture
Light is a powerful architectural tool, it sculpts spaces and highlights unique elements. As seen in our work at the Cremona University in Italy, our lighting accentuates the building's narrative. The illumination on the portico and cloister statue underscores the building's architectural grandeur, casting a soft, indirect light that enhances functionality while fostering a warm, inviting atmosphere. With an eye for detail and an appreciation for the architecture's uniqueness, we transform spaces, setting the stage for a captivating interplay of light and architecture.
Illuminating nature
When light is properly cast in the natural environment, it heightens your senses and can take you on an enchanting adventure. As exemplified in the Monterrey project, Mexico, our lighting solutions elevate nature's allure. Mindful of fauna and flora, we meticulously select fixtures, such as the adjustable Logic and Kix family, that respect and emphasize each natural element's unique characteristics. The result is a lighting design that underscores nature's beauty, harmoniously weaving intrigue into the darkest hours, heightening senses, and inviting a mesmerizing exploration of the illuminated landscape.
