Design to last.
An exchange in Madrid on craftsmanship, materiality and the character of enduring design.
Design to last
At Luxury Purple Club, overlooking Madrid’s Retiro Park, Deltalight brought together 25 architects and interior designers for an intimate exchange around craftsmanship, creativity and enduring design.
The conversation explored a shared sensibility between handcrafted garments and luminaires: respect for materials, attention to detail and the time it takes to give an object its own identity.
Made with intention
Lasting value begins with careful decisions. Understanding a material. Refining a proportion. Knowing where precision is essential and where natural variation brings character.
From the cut of a garment to the casting of porcelain, craftsmanship asks for sensitivity as much as expertise. The human touch gives these decisions meaning, shaping objects that bring something individual to the spaces they inhabit.
Engineered poetry
Lunelle brings this dialogue between craftsmanship and precision into light. Its translucent natural porcelain body reveals subtle variations through casting and firing, giving each piece its own character.
A focused beam provides precise accent illumination, while the porcelain shell radiates a soft, warm glow. Light serves a practical purpose while bringing warmth and material presence to the interior.
A shared appreciation
Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation, to Elite Excellence for their support and coordination, and to Luxury Purple Club for welcoming us and sharing their approach to craftsmanship.
