This project takes ques from the essence of the typical Mediterranean home with its tones and materiality however there is a keen design emphasis on giving and bringing the senses of both living within the walls as well as being outside, giving the design a true in-out experience to living, the project consists of living spaces and suites that can be cordoned off by hidden partitions that seamlessly flow in and out of walls as if by magic. With a center courtyard, that replicates the essence of communal family living, the project consists of both lighting accents and materials that pay homage to classic furniture designer Charles Eames with their simplicity of form and function.
With our brand-new outdoor spot FRAX we temporarily illuminated this fantastic piece of architecture in Oudenaarde (Belgium). Ghent-based architecture studio Dhooge & Meganck designed this “contemporary abbey”, as a factory and storage facility for Camp's – a Belgian producer of traditional pickles, mustard and preserved vegetables. The power of the new FRAX luminaire enabled us to temporary illuminate the building, emphasizing its unique character.
With a wide range of optics, meticulous precision and multitude of installation options, the FRAX will help you to bring buildings, monuments and cities to life.
